Castronuño is a small municipality that is located in the province of Valladolid, Castile and León, Spain. Valladolid is a province of central/northwest Spain, in the central part of Castile and León. It is bordered by the provinces of Zamora, León, Palencia, Burgos, Segovia, Ávila, and Salamanca.

Castile and León known as the Community of Castile and León, is one of the 17 communities of Spain. It was constructed from the historic regions of Old Castile and León. It is the largest autonomous community in Spain, covering an area of 95 thousand square kilometres.

The River Duero is one of the major rivers of the Iberian Peninsula, flowing from its source near Duruelo de la Sierra in Soria Province across northern-central Spain and Portugal to its outlet at Porto. There is a small beach on the river bank should you want to sunbathe, or you can try your hand at fishing.

Some of the things to do would be wine tasting, the village house sits on the old Toro route. At the end of the route is the place where the process of wine elaboration happens, tours can be arranged on request and we would be happy to take you there.
Of course if horse riding is not your thing, bikes are provided, and there are lots of scenic routes to walk through.

Organic farms are just minutes away, these offer fresh produce and fresh foods which can be naturally picked from the vegetable gardens. Bull Safari is a fantastic route across Carmona Dehesa. Horse riding is popular and is found right in the middle of the nature park, ride through sand groves and along the river.

Salamanca is now classed as a world heritage city, from the house it is roughly a 25 minute drive down the main autopista.
Valladolid is the main city of the province of Castile y Leon and it is also the same driving distance from the house and northward on the autopista.
Valladolid airport is the nearest to the house, followed by the Barajas Airport in Madrid which is a 2 hour drive. You will need a car, we can provide a vehicle for you using car hire Spain and we can include it in the rental.
